DONATE

Thank you for considering a donation to Mennonite Creation Care Network. Your kindness is a gift to the earth, to people and to the Creator of all things.

Your dollars will help provide stipends for "writers in residence." We rely on these interns to help keep our web site up to date and to assist with various writing and communications tasks. Interns who are able to work out of the Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College enjoy a rich ecological setting and are able to participate in many educational opportunities in addition to their tasks.

To make an online donation, click here. This link will take you to the Mennonite Church USA site where you can donate to MCCN in a secure environment with credit/debit transactions. We are sorry: we do not yet have an online option for Canadians.

About Merry Lea Internships:

"Truly this was a wonderful summer. I feel as though I learned so much and gained valuable experience here. My convictions toward creation care are more steadfast than ever. Thank you for this opportunity and for your graceful leadership." - Heidi Martin, Writer in Residence for MCCN, July - September 2009.

MCCN is open to a variety of internship interests and schedules. Heidi Martin, our first "Writer in Residence," lived in Merry Lea's Rieth Village--a state of the art green facility on the edge of a 1,189-acre nature preserve--during her eight weeks with MCCN. She researched and wrote feature articles, developed skills with web publishing software, annotated materials in our resource library and spent hours trolling the web for stories about Mennonites caring for creation. Heidi took full advantage of Merry Lea's biodiversity and educational programming. She hiked, biked, sat in on graduate courses, observed children's programming and attended an agroecology field trip. If you are interested in submersing yourself in a world of growth and gratitude, email lukeag@goshen.edu or jenniferhs@goshen.edu.
