Author and environmentalist Bill McKibben is calling people to action in reversing global warming. This international campaign is designed to build grassroots movements around the world to draw attention to and seek solutions for climate change. Step It Up was a peaceful campaign organized in 2007 for the United States. This campaign inspired over 2,000 rallies nation-wide to bring attention to global warming issues to major leaders, including Barack Obama. A second campaign will run in 2009 with over 1,000 communities worldwide participating in bike rides, walks, scuba diving events and more.
