Who
We Are
Mennonite Creation Care Network (MCCN) is a bi-national
Christian organization affiliated with the Mennonite
Church USA and the Mennonite
Church Canada. Our focus is the Mennonite “household”—especially
its congregations—but we welcome anyone who wishes to be part
of a faith-based network of people engaged in caring for creation. Click
the verbs to see the goals below in action.
MCCN encourages the Church to:
• Claim its biblical and theological foundation for
the care of God’s Creation.
• Discover the ties that link all created beings to each other
and to God.
• Confess the harm we have caused the natural world and
our neighbors.
• Act faithfully to restore the earth.
Current Emphases
100 Shades of Green Campaign MCCN
is seeking 100 congregations actively engaged
in creation care and linked to the network through a
creation care liaison. Even if you are just wishing
for a greener congregation, we'd like to hear from you.
Visit our 100 shade
of green page to find out how to
get your congregation on board.
Greening Conventions: MCCN
is partnering with the Mennonite Church USA to encourage earth-friendly
food choices, transportation options and awareness of the ways
building design can lessen our impact at Pittsburgh
2011. We'll also be active at the Mennonite Church Canada Annual
Delegate Assembly, Waterloo, ON. Both conferences are the week
of July 4.

RAQs: These rarely asked questions
about sustainable living are much more interesting than those that
are frequently asked.
For example: What is the sweetest
way to keep elephants out of your garden without pesticides? Better
