At Mennonite
Creation Care Network, we believe congregations play a key role
in the communal endeavor of living in right relationship with the
earth. We see care of creation as central to the
Christian gospel.
That’s why our goal for 2010 is to:
identify 100 congregations actively engaged in the care
of creation
identify a creation care advocate in each of those congregations
and
provide a directory with profiles of these congregations
on our web site.
Q: What does it mean to be “actively engaged in the care
of creation?”
A: At minimum, it means a group at your congregation
has taken the time to work through MCCN’s Green Congregation Stewardship
score sheet and think about what your congregation does well and
what you might wish to work on.
After you have worked through the
Green Congregation Scoresheet, please use this form to tell us
about your congregation and its unique shade of green.
