Matthew and Nancy Sleeth were an upscale couple with a doctor's income until one vacation when they asked themselves the question, "What is the biggest problem facing the world today?" They concluded that the earth was dying and that this should be the focus of the rest of their lives. After getting their own lifestyle in order, they helped create the Blessed Earth web site and the initiatives it describes. One of these is the Seminary Stewardship Alliance, a consortium dedicated to creation care practices, scholarship and dialog among church leaders.
