Interfaith Power and Light, a faith-based response to global warming, is challenging congregations to "be cool" with a contest and cash prizes of $1000. Entries are invited in four categories:
- energy efficiency
- renewable energy
- grounds and water conservation and
- inspiring congregants to lower their energy use at home.
Participants are invited to submit a description of their efforts by October 18, 2012.
