GreenFaith offers a variety of programs and resources that fall within five categories. “Spirit” resources are tools for religious education and worship services designed around the theme of creation care. “Justice” resources call for action on environmental justice issues from faith-based communities. “Stewardship” resources are on topics such as energy, water conservation, toxic and waste reduction, food etc. Programs include the GreenFaith Fellowship Program which teaches faith-based environmental training to clergy and laity as well as the GreenFaith Certification Program which involves a two-year process of greening homes and areas of worship. At the completion of the program, congregations receive certification as a GreenFaith Sanctuary.
