Local Floridians invite MCUSA to get to know the subtropics

Attendees at the Orlando MCUSA convention are invited to get to know a different region of creation through the lens of food production. Tour HEART Village, a permaculture ministry training organization, on Thursday, July 6, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. HEART is an ecumenical community outside of Lake Wales, Florida, that trains people from North American churches to serve in the Global South.  The organization emphasizes practical food production and appropriate technology. Over 150 species of food plants grow there.

The trip is organized by Andrew Hudson, interim pastor of Covenant Mennonite Fellowship in Sarasota, Florida.  This is an informal event not in the convention listings and only available through MCCN. You are welcome to share it with friends who are not MCCN members. Complete this short registration form to indicate your interest.
