Renewal took off in 2008 when a group of Christian students gathered to discuss creation care. Since then, the network has grown to include various Christian colleges from across the nation including Eastern University, Moody Bible College, Asbury College, Seattle Pacific University and many more.

Seeking practical ways to care for the earth, Renewal participates in planting community gardens, cleaning streams and restoring habitats and working with college administrators to decrease emissions.
