Take Me to the Water: God’s Love Flows is MennoMedia’s 2012 offering for Vacation Bible School. Stories focus on water: Naaman’s healing through dips in the Jordan River, John the Baptist baptizing Jesus, God providing water from a rock, etc. The curriculum has been named one of four “top picks” by the Center for the Ministry of Teaching at Virginia Theological Seminary in Richmond.
While ecological themes are not necessarily explicit, there is much for an enterprising teacher to work with, including fun water songs. MennoMedia’s 2011 series did similar things with the topic of food. These curricula are intended for one year’s use, but they are probably just as good recycled.
